(“MODEMA” or “the Company”), in its capacity as the data controller, within the scope described below and in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“the Law”).

The personal data collected from you may be processed by MODEMA Forest Products, Furniture Decoration and Machinery Industry and Trade Inc. (“MODEMA”), as the data controller, in accordance with the fundamental principles set out under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“the Law”) and within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, for the purposes outlined below.

  • Planning and execution of the Company’s human resources policies and processes;
  • Carrying out the necessary operational work by our business units and executing the relevant business processes in order to enable the relevant persons to benefit from the products and services offered by the Company;
  • Planning and execution of marketing and promotional activities required to offer and recommend the Company’s products and services to relevant persons by customising them according to their preferences, usage habits, and needs;
  • Carrying out the necessary work by our business units and executing the related business processes to ensure the execution of the Company’s commercial activities;
  • Planning and implementation of the Company’s commercial and/or business strategies;
  • Ensuring the legal, technical, and commercial/operational security of the Company and the relevant persons who are in a business relationship with the Company.
  1. Parties to Whom Your Personal Data Are Transferred and the Purposes of Transfer

The personal data collected from you may be transferred by MODEMA Forest Products, Furniture Decoration and Machinery Industry and Trade Inc. (“MODEMA”), in accordance with the fundamental principles set out under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“the Law”) and within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, to our business partners, suppliers, MODEMA affiliates, legally authorised public institutions, and legally authorised private organisations, for the purposes outlined below.

  • Planning and execution of the Company’s human resources policies and processes;
  • Carrying out the necessary work by our business units and executing the relevant business processes in order to enable the relevant persons to benefit from the products and services offered by the Company;
  • Planning and execution of marketing activities required to offer and recommend the Company’s products and services to relevant persons by customising them according to their preferences, usage habits, and needs;
  • Carrying out the necessary work by our business units and executing the related business processes to ensure the realisation of the Company’s commercial activities;
  • Planning and implementation of the Company’s commercial and/or business strategies;
  • Ensuring the legal, technical, and commercial/operational security of the Company and the relevant persons who are in a business relationship with the Company.
  1. Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Your Personal Data

Your personal data are collected through various channels for the purpose of conducting the Company’s business activities, based on the legal grounds of ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and the Company’s internal policies. The personal data collected may be processed and transferred by MODEMA Forest Products, Furniture Decoration and Machinery Industry and Trade Inc. (“MODEMA”) for the purposes specified in this Information Notice, in accordance with the personal data processing conditions and purposes set forth in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“the Law”).

As the data subject, you are entitled to the following rights pursuant to Article 11 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“the Law”):

  • To request information if your personal data have been processed;
  • To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with such purpose;
  • To know the third parties to whom your personal data are transferred, whether domestically or abroad;
  • To request the correction of your personal data if they are incomplete or inaccurate, and to request that the transaction carried out in this regard be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data have been transferred;
  • To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions set forth under the Law, even if they have been processed in accordance with the Law and other relevant legislation, and to request that the transaction carried out in this regard be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data have been transferred;
  • To object to any unfavourable result arising from the analysis of your personal data exclusively through automated systems;
  • To request compensation for any damage incurred due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.

You may submit your requests regarding the rights listed above to MODEMA Forest Products, Furniture Decoration and Machinery Industry and Trade Inc. (“MODEMA”). Depending on the nature of your request, it will be concluded as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days, free of charge. However, if the process requires an additional cost, the Company reserves the right to charge a fee based on the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
